Gastrointestinal Infection Testing

American Molecular Laboratories has validated and implemented a multiplexed nucleic acid test (FDA cleared) intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection and identification of a group of viral, parasitic, and bacterial nucleic acids in human stool specimens from individuals with signs and symptoms of infectious colitis or gastroenteritis. It can detect and identify >90% of the causative bacterial, viral, and parasitic agents of gastroenteritis.

Confidently rule out infectious causes of diarrhea with 99.9% overall negative predictive value.

Normally the stool samples received in the morning will be tested and reported on the same day.
