The PyloriDx™/PyloriAR™ H. Pylori detection and antibiotic resistance Next Generation Sequencing panel is the most comprehensive assay of its kind in the world. This assay tests all major genes in the H. pylori genome for variants that are associated with antibiotic resistance to six common antibiotics used in treatment. PyloriAR™ can determine if H. pylori in an individual is resistant to more than two antibiotics. Three specimen types are accepted: FFPE tissue, fresh tissue, and stool. PyloriAR™ has >99% accuracy and has a low-limit sensitivity of 10-100 copies. The average sequencing depth is > 500 X with a sequencing quality of Q30 > 90%. Utilizing PyloriDx™/PyloriAR™ can assist clinicians determining a course of treatment for high-risk patients, patients who were treated for H. pylori and reinfected, and patients with a H. pylori diagnosis that aren’t improving with their current treatment.
